Writer's attack on Mayor Curtis seemed personal

Editor,

The letter of March 11, “Curtis now part of ‘insidious network’ of control” about Mayor Steve Curtis offered no proof of political or professional malfeasance.  It seemed like a personal attack based on the mayor’s own financial issues at a time when thousands of other people were experiencing the same problems due to the economic down-turn.

Obviously the writer has an ax to grind and I find it interesting that the paper would choose to print such a “specious and self-serving” letter. I do not live in Layton, but I read Mayor Curtis’ column each week and find them informative, well researched and well written.
