NAMI offers free classes to public

OGDEN — The National Alliance on Mental Health will conduct a pair of free classes, designed for the public, on mental health.

According to a NAMI news release, a presentation on schizoaffective disorder will be held at 6 p.m. March 25 at the Weber Human Services Building, 237 26th St., Ogden. The presentation will go over what the disorder is and how it is treated.

A 12-week course will also be held for families and friends of people who have mental illnesses, the release states. The course begins at 7 p.m. April 9 at McKay-Dee Hospital, 4401 Harrison Blvd.

One in four adults is affected by mental illness, the release states, and NAMI, a locally run but national organization, is dedicated to helping those affected. For information or to sign up for the 12-week course, call
