Girl rides bike into street, is hit by car

OGDEN — A 9-year-old girl was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital with injuries Saturday after a car hit her on the 300 block of 17th Street.

Ogden Police Lt. Danielle Croyle said a parked car shielded the girl from view of traffic as she was riding her bike with her brother before the accident.

When the girl pulled out from behind the parked car, another car hit her.

Police on the scene believed the girl may have suffered a broken leg, Ogden Police Lt. Will Cragun said.

Croyle said no citations were issued to the driver, who was not at fault for the accident.

“The driver was prudent in maneuvering their vehicle,” Croyle said.
