Elizabeth McKinstry Quinn of Ogden celebrated her 90th birthday with a family party at The Gardens Assisted Living on March 10.
One of six girls and two boys, she was born to James and Ida Butterfield McKinstry on March 12, 1923. She was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School.
She worked at Defense Depot Ogden and the Ogden Arsenal.
On June 30, 1948, she married her sweetheart Ransom Ben Quinn in Ogden. He died on June 8, 2012. Their children and spouses are Debra and Ron Peterson, and Randy and Charlotte Quinn. She has six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A member of the LDS Church, she served in many callings: Relief Society in the ward and stake, visiting teacher, Primary teacher and Cub Scout leader. She was active in the PTA and served as president at Hillcrest Elementary School. She is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Her hobbies were genealogy, crafts and sewing. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her children and grandhcildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and visiting with friends.STORY:201303180047Elizabeth Quinn/Announcements/2013/03/18/Elizabeth-Quinn.html-1
