Bountiful Mayor Joe Johnson will not seek fourth term

BOUNTIFUL — Mayor Joe Johnson has decided 12 years is enough, in making it official that he will not run for re-election later this year.

“It’s been a blast,” Johnson said in disclosing he will not seek a return to office. There are two council seats and the mayor’s seat up for election this year.

Johnson is the third mayor in Davis County to announce he won’t run again, joining Farmington’s Scott Harbertson and Layton’s Steve Curtis.
