FARMINGTON - City officials have finalized a small land swap with CenterCal Properties to facilitate completion of a portion of road near Station Park.
In action taken recently, city council members voted unanimously to finalize property trade between the city and the Station Park developer for the future Park Lane expansion.
Years in the planning, the new road extension will be completed before the Station Park project is finished in 2014.
A lion's share of the funding for the extension will come from the federal government. The city is required to provide about 10 percent of the nearly $3 million to fund the project.
Funding for the road extension project has already been approved, through the Wasatch Front Regional Council, for 2013-14.
