Rambler's column was like 'listening to a family member'

Editor,

There are two reasons why I continue to subscribe to the Standard-Examiner, and have done so since 1981. Charles Trentelman’s (and his predessor) column is like listening to a family member. I don’t always agree with him, but he always has something to say worth listening to, and I agree him most of the time. I wish him well in retirement, I will miss him, and his straight-forward way of addressing any issue.

Charlie, good Luck with your retirement.  Don’t shave the beard, you look better with it.

The other reason I subscribe to the Standard-Examiner is that the press is the only thing that keeps our politicians honest, the only thing. The Standard has kept our lil’ corner of the world democratic.
