Beverly Griffin Kidman Donohoo of Logan, formerly of Slaterville, will be honored for her 80th birthday. Family and friends may attend an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on March 30 at the LDS chapel, 20 N. 100 West, Mendon.
Born March 30, 1933, in Newton to Harold J. and Ruth Williamson Griffin, she graduated from Bonneville High School. She attended Weber State College and graduated from the LDS Institute of Religion at Weber State.
While attending a girl’s choice dance in Newton, she met the love of her life Ronald L. Kidman. They were married in Pocatello, Idaho, on Aug. 22, 1949. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. Their children are Kelly Kidman (deceased) and Nora Kidman, Randy and Linda Kidman, Gene and Kristine Kidman, Tracy and Theresa Kidman, Paula and Richard Burton, and Penny Kidman. She has 22 grandchildren and 28great-grandchildren.
Active in the LDS Church, she served in the Missouri Independence LDS Mission office.
She and Ron became fond of square dancing and do-si-doed all over the United States. They danced with the Bridgerland Squares, Lace and Levis and the Box Elder Squares. He died July 10, 1990. She continued to square dance with the singles in Ogden. She has danced in Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Austria and 43 of the 50 United States. While dancing with the singles, she met Harold Neil Donohoo. They were married Aug. 17, 2000. They continued to dance and travel to many places and lived in Tremonton.
