Tigers, Scots notch wins

OGDEN — Ogden and Ben Lomond earned Region 11 boys soccer wins on Monday afternoon.

• OGDEN 8, TOOELE 0: At Mount Ogden Park, the Tigers pulled out all the stops to please coach Sterling Castle.

“They had the right attitude and put together a good effort.”

Dario Robles had a hat trick and two assists, Dayton Wright added a goal and three assists while Ule Acosta chipped in with two goals for Ogden.

Jesus Gill and Diego Diaz also had goals, while Tucker Castle had a pair of assists.

Defensively, Ethan Vosburgh and Alejandro Garcia dominated at center back, helping Auggie Garcia record the shutout.

• BEN LOMOND 3, GRANTSVILLE 1: At Grantsville, the Cowboys young goalkeeper kept his team in it until halftime, but the Scots controlled the ball, and eventually, the game.

Victor Galindo, Javier Zambrano and Rodrigo Aviles each tallied goals, while Aviles also had an assist for Ben Lomond.


• DAVIS 10, LOGAN 6: At Logan, Tyler Hall earned the win on the mound and Bronson Larsen homered for the Darts. Kyle Godderidge and Conner Blaisdell each had a pair of hits.

• LAYTON 6, GRANGER 2: At Salt Lake City, Logan Greenhalgh struck out 12 for visiting Layton. Four Lancers cracked doubles.

• CLEARFIELD 4, BOUNTIFUL 2: At Clearfield, Cameron Facer earned the win on the mound. Dylan Moore and Parker Oliver doubled for the Falcons.
