Judd and Nona Forsgren of West Haven will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Family and friends may attend an open house in their honor from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the church on 3628 S. 2700 West, West Haven.
They were married on April 10, 1953, in Ogden; their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on April 10, 1962.
He was born on April 8, 1928, in Bothwell; she was born in Clinton on July 8, 1932. They met through mutual friends at Snowbasin during a senior class party.
He worked at R.J. Wight in his early years and retired from maintenance at Weber State College. She worked as a sheet metal mechanic and retired from Hill Air Force Base.
They served an LDS service mission at the Ogden Cannery. They have served in many ward and stake callings throughout the years.
Both enjoy working with their hands. She is a seamstress, quilter and crocheter. He is a mechanic who enjoys fixing anything.
They have lived a life of charity and service, and are loved by their friends and family.
