OGDEN -- The Weber State football team will hold its final scrimmage of the spring season before next week's Purple and White Game. The Wildcats will scrimmage Saturday morning at Stewart Stadium.
The team will begin practice at 9 a.m. and will start the 45-play scrimmage at approximately 9:45 a.m.
All scrimmages and practices are free and open to the public.
Weber State has one week of spring practice remaining with the annual Purple and White Spring Game set for April 13 at 6 p.m. at Stewart Stadium.
New Wildcat head coach Jody Sears is gearing up for his second season as head coach of the Wildcats. Earlier this year Sears announced the hiring of Robin Pflugrad as the new offensive coordinator for the Wildcats. Steve Morton has been elevated to associate head coach and Eric Lewis takes the reins as defensive coordinator.
The 2013 Wildcat football season begins Aug. 31 when the 'Cats host Stephen F. Austin. WSU will then hit the road for three games at Utah, Utah State and McNeese State before starting Big Sky Conference action with the Homecoming game against Sacramento State on Sept. 28.
