On Saturday, April 6, a donation drive was held in Ogden to coordinate items to assist St. Anne's Center and the Humane Society of Utah in their continued efforts to make a difference in the lives of homeless individuals, families and animals in need (March 14, "Benefit event to aid animals, homeless").
The event was a huge success and I would like to thank all those who made time to bring in items for these organizations. I was overwhelmed with the generosity and compassion that was shown, resulting in four truck loads of clothing, food and supplies to St. Anne's and a moving van full of much needed items for the Humane Society.
I want to express my gratitude to all those who came and donated items, family and friends who assisted and supported me in this endeavor, and to the Golden Hours Center for the use of their facility. I am sure that this collective effort has made a huge difference for so many in need.
