Dixon and Linda Walker of Farr West celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Prairie Schooner Restaurant.
They dated for one year and were married on March 22, 1963, in Ogden. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple on March 22, 1966.
He grew up in Utah and California, and graduated from Ogden High School in 1961. He worked for the Boeing Co. for 42 years, retiring in 2005.
She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1961. While raising her four children, she worked for J.C. Penney, Commercial Security Bank, Bank of Utah, Matthewson and Sanders Architects, ARW Engineers and the Boyer Co.
The couple has served the LDS Church and their community in a variety of capacities, including as service missionaries for the Mound Fort 1st Ward for more than five years.
They are the parents of four children, six grandsons and one granddaughter.
