OGDEN -- A 47-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into someone else's home and assaulting an ex-girlfriend.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Mark Brakefield on Oct. 11 entered the home, at 968 Gramercy Ave., without permission.
He then found his ex-girlfriend, grabbed her by the hair and repeatedly punched her in the face before two witnesses attempted to pull him off of her.
Court documents show Brakefield was charged Wednesday in 2nd District Court in Ogden with aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony charge, and assault, a class B misdemeanor.
A warrant for Brakefield was issued Wednesday.
He was arrested later that day and booked into Weber County Jail on $21,000 bail, which he had not posted as of Thursday night.
His initial appearance in court was scheduled for this morning.
