PROVO -- A woman accused of hitting a bicyclist in Provo and sending him to his death in front of a train has been sentenced to jail.
The Daily Herald reports Maria Fregoso-Avina was sentenced Thursday to 210 days in jail, with credit for 56 days she's already served.
She'd pleaded guilty in March to negligent homicide.
Police say the woman's SUV hit 69-year-old Douglas Crow's bike on Feb. 15. He fell into train tracks and died after being struck by a FrontRunner commuter train.
Prosecutors say Fregoso-Avina hadn't properly cleaned the ice off her windshield and didn't see Crow. Authorities say she pulled over after the collision and stayed on the scene.
