Paul Chojnacky's reputation preceded him to Oakridge County Club.
Chojnacky is the new Oakridge golf course superintendent, perhaps best known in the industry for his use of goats on the course to clear overgrowth in steep canyons at Pasatiempo Golf Club in California.
"I used to use goats to clear brush back in my home state of Wyoming and I thought it would work on golf courses as well, " said Chojnacky. "Using goats on the course was not only a cost saving venture but great entertainment for the membership as well."
He's also made friends with Jock, the goose-chasing golf course watchdog that has called the Farmington course home for the past seven years.
