Layton’s Keefe is ‘Chief of the Year’

LAYTON -- Layton Police Chief Terry M. Keefe was awarded "Chief of the Year" for midsize police departments during the Utah Chiefs of Police Association annual conference.

Keefe has been in law enforcement for the past 38 years and has served as president of the association for three consecutive terms, starting in 2007. He is the only police chief to be elected by his peers to serve more than one term, states a news release from Layton Police Department. 

He has been with Layton Police Department since 1999.
