Carol and Jed Harris...
Jed and Carol Harris of Roy will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on April 20 at the Roy 12th Ward chapel, 4524 S. 2525 West.
They were married April 19, 1963, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
He was born and raised in Clearfield and graduated from Davis High School. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Skagit. He served in the Great Lakes LDS Mission.
She was born and raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from Granite High School and Hollywood Beauty College. She served in the Great Lakes LDS Mission, which included Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and part of Kentucky.
After his retirement from Hill Air Force Base, they spent time in Quartzsite, Ariz. They were ordinance workers for more than 10 years in the Ogden LDS Temple before it closed. They enjoy spending time with their family.
Their three children and spouses are Craig and Stephanie Harris, Kent and Teresa Harris, and VaDawn and Clarence Kelly.
