OGDEN -- Weber State University's Interior Design students on Friday will host a "Charitable Chair" auction.
Students have restored 30 vintage chairs to their original historical styles, using modern materials to refurbish upholstery, seat rushing and wood finishes.
The 50 student designers, working alone or in teams, were responsible for finding the chairs, which were either purchased or donated.
"This is an opportunity for students to recognize a valuable piece of furniture with a historical influence," said Kristen Arnold, interior design program coordinator.
The chairs will be auctioned at the Browning Center. A 6 p.m. silent auction will be followed by a 7 p.m. live auction. Money raised will go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Weber-Davis and WSU's interior design program.
Tickets for the event are $10, and can be purchased at the door or through www.alumni.weber.edu/charitablechair2013.
