LOGAN -- A Logan man has been ordered to stand trial on charges of child abuse and assault after prosecutors say he broke his baby's arm.
Ryan Jay Udy pleaded not guilty in 1st District Court on Tuesday to two counts of inflicting serious injury on a child.
Logan police say the baby's mother reported Udy broke the boy's arm in December. She also said she returned from an overnight trip to Salt Lake in March to find multiple bruises on her son.
A specialist at the Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City testified that the injuries were consistent with child abuse.
Udy's bail was set at $50,000. He's due back in court April 29 for a pre-trial conference.
