FARMINGTON — This summer, Davis County libraries will offer pioneer tales and pioneer game-playing.

On Tuesday the Davis County Commission approved a $700 agreement with Olive Romney to share pioneer songs and stories for one of the library’s summer reading programs.

Romney will do a series of seven programs at the county’s different library locations between July 11 and Aug. 1, Davis County Library Director Chris Sanford said.

The programs are part of the county libraries’ “Dig Into Reading” summer reading program, Sanford said.

In addition to stories and songs, Romney will provide the youths with some pioneer game-playing, she said.
