SALT LAKE CITY -- The nesting pair of peregrine falcons in downtown Salt Lake City has delivered a third speckled brown egg.

The latest addition appeared Wednesday in the nesting box atop the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

Wildlife officials say hatching could begin just after Mother's Day, with the young birds testing their wings at the end of June.

The falcons have become a downtown tradition as cameras record the pair trading egg-warming duty.
