High school all-stars tip off today at West Jordan

WEST JORDAN -- The Utah High School Coaches Association will hold its annual senior all-star basketball games today at West Jordan High School.

A fourth game was added to this year's format, with the first game beginning at noon and the last at 6 p.m.

PREP BASKETBALL

The games will begin with the 1-A All-Stars vs. 2-A All-Stars playing at noon. The 3-A All-Star game at 2 p.m. will pit players from Regions 9 and 10 against players from Regions 11 and 12.

The 4-A All-Star game will tip off at 4 p.m., with players from Regions 5 and 6 squaring off against teams from Regions 7 and 8.

In the nightcap 5-A All-Star game, players from Regions 1 and 3 will face players from Regions 2 and 4.

The UHSBCA selected the team from seniors in the state. Several nominees had other commitments; their rosters spots were filled.

5-A All-Stars--Cole Halley (Davis); Diante Mitchell (Syracuse); Jarom Tye (Viewmont); McKay Richins (Viewmont).

4-A All-Stars--Jalen Moore (Sky View); Jordan Larsen (Logan); Tyler Bate (Box Elder); Tyler Crosbie (Mountain Crest); Skyler Farnes (Woods Cross); Hayden Grant (Woods Cross); David Hadley (Roy).

3-A All-Stars--Cameron Skinner (Morgan); Wade Miller (Bear River); Kody King (Bear River); Spencer Smith (Ogden); Tyler Woodruff (Tooele); Sterling Brandley (Ben Lomond); Josh Hardin (Ben Lomond).

2-A All-Stars--Ben Stephens (North Summit).

1-A All-Stars--Duce Namazi (Layton Christian).
