A photo essay interview obtained from the Internet that features slain Bosting bombings terrorist suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, shows the dead suspect as a former amateur boxer. It's been reported that the 26-year-old Chechnyan native planned to compete in the amateur boxing Golden Gloves national competition scheduled May 13 to May 18 in Salt Lake City. Tsarnaev had also competed in the 2009 Golden Gloves tournament in Salt Lake City.
The story, first reported by TMZ, revealed a photo feature of amateur boxer Tsarnaev at the Wai Kru Mixed Martial Arts Center in Boston, The photo-feature, from a photographer named Johannes Hirn, were accompanied by feature captions. One caption claims that Tsarnaev will represent New England in the 196-pound category at the Golden Gloves in Salt Lake City. Another caption shows Tsarnaev with a woman who he claims is his girlfriend, a European who he claims has converted to Islam. In another photo, Tsarnaev says, "I don't have a single American friend. I don't understand them." In another, he expresses a hope to represent the U.S. Olympic boxing team. Later on Friday, the website, http://johanneshirn.photoshelter.com/gallery/Will-Box-For-Passport/G0000..., appeared to be down.
Tsarnaev's brother and accused accomplice in Monday's bombings in Boston, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, is being sought by law enforcement in Boston. The pair allegedly killed a policeman and wounded another Thursday night.
