Don C. and Juanita Fredrickson of Ogden celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and a few close friends on their patio with a great view of the Wasatch Mountains on April 18.

They were married on April 18, 1953, in Washington Terrace at a place where their parents worked during the war. They say that they are fortunate to have many lifelong friends they met there.

They are the parents of five sons and one daughter: Robby Fredrickson, Kevin Fredrickson, Collin Fredrickson, Phillip Fredrickson, Lisa Richards and Ben Fredrickson, who were raised on a small farm in Huntsville.

After their children grew up, they moved back to Ogden.

They have 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She writes poetry, paints occasionally, and collects old dolls and antiques. He is partly retired from architecture but still keeps busy doing small jobs. He enjoys going hunting and fishing with his sons.

They enjoy spending time with extended family, friends and neighbors.
