Matilda C. “Tillie” Profaizer of Ogden celebrated her 95th birthday at a family party held at the Timbermine Restaurant & Steak House in Ogden on Saturday, April 20.
She was born on April 23, 1918, in Cumberland, Wyo., to Peter and Josephine Coletti.
She married Fred F. Profaizer on Sept. 1, 1936, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ogden.
Her daughter Pam says, “Mom has always been for the underdog and a ball of energy, devoted to her family and friends.” She also says that her mother is “95 years young, beautiful and in good health.”
In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling with friends, also on a team with her husband, and golfing with family and friends. She hosted many lasagna and polenta dinners on Sunday and whenever her children requested a special occasion for their friends. She enjoys her home clean and in order. She has been a full-time mother and grandmother, even giving up some bowling to tend her grandchildren.
Her children, Fred Profaizer, Pam Wilker, Brent Profaizer and Don Profaizer, attended her celebration with family members who came from California, Colorado, Kansas, Nevada and Texas.
She has six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
