SARATOGA SPRINGS -- A suspect has been arrested and charged in a string of burglaries at nearly a dozen homes in Saratoga Springs.
Police told the (Provo) Daily Herald that 34-year-old Randy Christensen of Saratoga Springs was arrested Monday and booked into the Utah County Jail on 11 charges of burglary.
Saratoga Springs police Cpl. Shane Taylor says Christensen told investigators he is an addict who was looking for prescription drugs. He estimated he has entered or attempted to enter about 100 homes in search of drugs.
The two-monthlong burglary streak recently came to an end when he entered a home to find a boy who had stayed there instead of attend church with his family. The boy later was able to identify the suspect from a photo in a church directory.
