MORGAN -- Dallin Dickson delivered a two-out RBI single on Friday afternoon, helping Morgan High rally for an early 5-0 deficit to claim an 8-7 win over Grantsville in Region 11 baseball action.
The victory helps the Trojans stay in the hunt for top seedings in the upcoming state 3-A tournament.
With the score tied, Cade Carrigan singled to open the bottom of the seventhing inning, then stole second base. Dickson brought him home.
Cameron Jarrett drilled a three-run homer in the third inning as Morgan began its comeback. Lantzen Toomer doubled and pitched the seventh for the victory.
* NORTH SUMMIT 11, BEN LOMOND 3: At Coalville, the Scots dropped another game but not without a fight.
The young Ben Lomond team rapped out 11 hits, but six errors and too many walks led to their demise in this non-league game moved to Coalville due to field construction at Ogden.
Zach Christofferson drilled a home run for the Scots. Fernando Carmona tripled and doubled, while Anthony Maestas also had a double. Kyle Speckman had a pair of hits. Caden Om took the loss on the mound.
North Summit got home runs from Austin Scholes and James Hansen, while Carson Richins picked up the victory.
* BONNEVILLE 4, BOX ELDER 2: At Brigham City, Dakota Buckway tossed an efficient six-hitter and Will Heward provided the hitting heroics as the Lakers won a tight road game.
Buckway finished with seven strikeouts and three walks, allowing two sixth-inning runs.
Meanwhile, Heward homered and doubled for Bonneville, while Buckway and Braden Longman each added a pair of hits.
Justin Adams had three hits for the Bees. Connor Udy took the loss, hindered by four Box Elder errors.
In the other league games, Roy hosted Sky View and Logan hosted Cache Valley rival Mountain Crest.
* BEAR RIVER 10, OGDEN 0 (five innings): At Garland, senior right-hander Jordan Theurer threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and a walk.
With two outs in the fifth inning, Theurer had a 3-1 count before walking the Tigers' batter. The next Ogden batter grounded out.
Theurer, who has signed with Southern Utah University, went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple and an RBI single for the five-time defending state 3-A champion Bears.
Freshman Kylie Larkin was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run; Carleen Hunsaker went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and three runs; freshman Brenna Hinck was 0-for-2 -- she walked twice and also reached base twice on an error -- with four runs; and freshman Oakli Rhodes drilled a double with a run for three-time defending league champion Bear River (15-3 overall, 10-1 league).
The Tigers are 9-10, 3-8.
