WEST JORDAN -- A judge has pushed back the preliminary hearing for a 25-year-old man accused of a triple homicide in Midvale that police say was part of a gang feud.
David Fresques was charged with three counts of aggravated murder and one count of attempted aggravated murder after police say he went room to room killing three people at a Midvale home in February.
His public defender, Lisa Remal, told 3rd District Judge Mark Kouris Wednesday she needs more time to prepare his defense because prosecutors haven't yet turned over several recorded interviews.
The judge set another scheduling conference for June 6.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that when Fresques exited the courtroom in handcuffs on Wednesday, he looked at his mother in the gallery and told her, "I love you."
