Robert and Deloris lund

Robert M. and Deloris J. Jeffries Lund of North Ogden will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married April 27, 1963, in Vernal.
Born and raised in Ogden, he graduated from Ogden High School. He served an LDS mission in Southern California and was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. He trained as an Army photographer and was attached to the 4235 Signal Co. in Tokyo, where his assignments were taking pictures of significant military activities. Later he attended Weber State College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business management and worked at Hill Air Force Base. He retired in April 1992. He served on two stake high councils, three times as bishop’s counselor and bishop in the North Ogden 20th Ward.
She was born in Hutchinson, Kan., and moved to Vernal, where she graduated from Uinta High School. She received a degree as a dental hygienist from the University of Iowa.
Both were involved in Scouting, where he served as a Scoutmaster for six years and in various Scouting positions in the Weber View District.He served as Wood Badge course director in 1992. She served as Cub Scout chairman in the Weber View District and Cub Scout chairman in the Lake Bonneville Council.
Both received the Weber View District Award of Merit and earned the Silver Beaver Award.
During the 2002 Winter Olympics, they were drivers for the U.S. Olympic Committee. They served in the Ogden Temple for 12 years and in the Salt Lake Temple Square Mission.
Their children and spouses are Jeffrie and Ann Lund, Cristopher and Wendi Lund, Trace and Brooke Lund, and Trent and Wendy Lund. They have 15 grandchildren.
