SALT LAKE CITY -- Officials say there's a downturn in the number of homeless Utahns.
The state is set to release details about the reported downturn Wednesday morning.
The finding is based on a one-day count conducted by the state in January.
The count determined that Utah had fewer homeless people than the same time the year before.
Last year, a nationwide census showed the number of Utah homeless climbed 13 percent in a one-year period.
The 2012 census counted about 3,500 homeless people in Utah.
