OGDEN -- Ogden leaders will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new sign to identify the Ogden River Parkway area.
At the ceremony, volunteers will participate in a service project to remove garbage, weed, prune and trim the grounds.
Volunteers will be grouped and assigned to areas on Grant Avenue from 20th to 19th streets, proceeding down the Ogden River Parkway.
The beautifying effort is part of a statewide Rotary Club Conference at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center today through Sunday.
The cleanup is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grant Avenue Promenade at the Ogden River Parkway, on Grant Avenue between 20th and 19th streets.
The project is part of an effort to connect Historic 25th Street, The Junction area and the newly restored portion of the Ogden River.
The new sign was funded through a partnership between Rotary Club of Ogden, Mount Ogden Rotary Club and Ogden city.
