ST. GEORGE -- Prosecutors have reached a plea deal with two suspects who were arrested and charged with several others in an investigation into investment fraud at a St. George car dealer.
Deputy County Attorney Jerry Jaeger tells The (St. George) Spectrum (http://tinyurl.com/c4rkd2h ) 41-year-old Carson Brandon Price and his 41-year-old wife, Bethany Jo, have agreed to cooperate with authorities and their charges could eventually be dropped.
In the meantime, Carson Price agreed to plead guilty Friday to three misdemeanor counts of equity stemming. His wife plead guilty to one count. They also will pay restitution.
Jaeger says they are among several people who acted as "straw buyers" obtaining a variety of bank loans under false pretenses to buy luxury vehicles on behalf of Executive Auto and its owner, Richard Eric "Rabbit" Downward.
