MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE -- Three people were taken to McKay-Dee Hospital on Saturday after a car crash that sent one car head-on into a ditch.
Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Streker said that around 7:10 p.m., a maroon Toyota Camry was going north in the middle turn lane on 1900 West, preparing to turn onto 700 South. A red Honda, which witnesses said was going about 55 miles per hour, rear-ended the Camry. The Honda continued north for several yards after impact and ended up in a ditch off the road.
The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital with a head laceration, and the passenger was transported with unknown injuries that did not appear life-threatening, Streker said. The female driver of the Camry was transported with stomach pains. The names of those involved were not available.
