WEST VALLEY CITY -- Doctors say a rare heart condition is to blame for a 3-year-old West Valley City girl's fall from a backyard slide that has left her in a coma, fighting for her life.

Doctors at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City discovered a tumor in Kaylee Cox's left ventricle that apparently sent her into cardiac arrest before she fell off the side at her home on May 2.

Family friends, Casey Walker and Dixie Clark, say KayLee was active and full of energy and never showed any signs of being sick.

Her family has set up a trust at America First Credit Union under KayLee Cox's name to help pay for mounting medical bills. The account number is 9059577.
