OGDEN -- The United Way of Northern Utah's annual Bravo Night to honor distinguished community and corporate leaders and volunteers will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the ATK Conference Center in Ogden Canyon.
"It's a chance to recognize those who are spending their resources to try to make a difference to reduce suffering and improve lives in our community," said Ben Johnson, COO for United Way.
The 2013 Bravo awardees are Alyson Johnson for Young Leaders Society; Sally Carter, Bev Campbell and Nikki Lovell for Volunteer of the Year; AmeriCorps Read Today Program for Collective Impact Partner of the Year; Chrisman Foundation and Your Valet Fine Dry Cleaning for Community Leader; JD Clark & Company and Associated Foods for Corporate Engagement; Holcim and Nucor for Best New Campaign of the Year; Timken and Autoliv for Corporate Partner of the Year; and Weber State University for Outstanding Partner for Community Change.
About 150 people are expected to be in attendance. Mitch McBride, resource development director for the United Way, will conduct the event.
