TOOELE -- Tooele County sheriff's deputies suspect alcohol played a role in a rollover crash that injured four people who were stranded in the wreckage several hours before a passerby spotted them.
Deputy Keith Borders tells the Desert News officers got a call about 6:30 a.m. Sunday about the pickup that crashed in a remote section of the county in Rush Valley.
He says the truck apparently veered right, then overcorrected and flipped late Saturday or early Sunday.
A man and woman were ejected out the back window. The other couple was trapped inside the cab.
One victim was taken to an area hospital and another flown to University Hospital. The other two were flown to Intermountain Medical Center. Their conditions were unknown.
Deputies found beer cans at the crash site.
