As it's told to me, it takes $25 million a month to run the House of Representatives, and with the 37 times that they have attempted to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act by debating and voting it down, it has cost the taxpayers an estimated $50 million in total. Now if that's fiscal conservatism, no wonder all that spending that was done during the Bush/Cheney administration was never questioned by them. That's just one fraction of what it has cost us, the taxpayers with all the impeding that the right in Congress have done since President Obama has taken office. One can only wonder just how much further we could have progressed had the House members done the job they were send to Washington to do besides trying to regain power.
I believe it was a drug addicted musician by the name of Jimmie Hendrix who once made the following statement, "When the power of love, overcomes the love of power. we will all live in a much better world." I guess maybe if those in the House of Representative were to listen to a drug addicted musician like Hendrix, we would all benefit from it as well as having our country back on track like it was before Bush and Cheney ran it into the ditch.
When the members of Congress put their party and their agenda before the country, we are all in for a much worst economic situation than what the country experienced during the great depression.
The next time we go to vote for Congress, let's make sure we put those who are more interested in what's good for the country and its citizens, than what's best for their party.
