LOGAN -- Police say a 31-year-old man Smithfield man has been booked on suspicion of leaving the scene of an injury accident after admitting he ran over a woman in an apartment parking lot in Logan.
Logan Assistant police chief Jeff Curtis tells The (Logan) Herald Journal Christopher Kay turned himself in on Friday.
Curtis says Kay was arguing with a friend before he quickly exited the parking lot on May 17. As he turned left, he struck a woman standing near the driver's side window. She was knocked to the ground and one of the tires ran over her legs and an arm.
The woman's name has not been released.
Kay posted bail and was released from the Cache County Jail the same day. He's facing a class-A misdemeanor.
