SALT LAKE CITY -- A 30-year-old man who pleaded guilty to a 2009 golf course murder has died in prison.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that  Jeremiah Williamson was serving 15 years to life in prison. Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says it appears Williamson died from natural causes due to a previous medical condition.

Williamson drove a group of teenage gang members to a golf course in West Valley City where they fatally shot 18-year-old JoJo Brandstatt on Feb. 6, 2009.

The boy who police say pulled the trigger, then 14-year-old Antonie Farani, is in prison on a sentence of at least 35 years. Two others are in prison for their actions.
