New Weber school lunch program starts

The Weber School District on Monday begins its summer free lunch program at nine area schools.

Lunches will be available free to those 18 and younger. Adults may buy lunches for $3.25 (cash only). Lunches will be served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on weekdays, Monday through July 31, excluding July 4, 5 and 24 (due to holidays).

Roy schools offering lunch are Lakeview Elementary, 2025 W. 5000 South; Municipal Elementary, 5775 S. 2200 West; North Park Elementary, 4230 S. 2175 West; and Roy Elementary, 2888 W. 5600 South.

In South Ogden, free lunch will be offered at Mar-Lon Hills Elementary, 4400 Madison Ave. In Washington Terrace, the school with free lunch is Washington Terrace Elementary, 20 E. 4600 South.

The North Ogden schools offering lunch are Green Acres Elementary, 640 E. 1900 North; and North Ogden Elementary, 530 E. 2650 North.

All food must be eaten in the lunch room. Adults may not eat off children's trays. Shoes and shirts must be worn. Restroom facilities will not be available. Skateboards and roller blades will not be allowed in lunchrooms, and school playgrounds will not be supervised by an adult.
