KAYSVILLE -- Two 17-year-old girls are recovering after being ejected from the back of a pickup truck in the parking lot of Davis High School, police say.
Officers were called to the lot at 325 S. Main St. at 8:17 p.m. Thursday, said Kaysville Police Lt. Brent Ward.
One girl was lying on the ground. Another girl reported she had also been ejected from the bed of the pickup.
Witnesses said the driver, an 18-year-old man, had been driving recklessly and turned sharply, causing the accident, Ward said.
One girl was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center with a concussion, Ward said. The other girl was transported to a local hospital to be treated for road scrapes.
The 18-year-old was cited for reckless driving.
