KAYSVILLE -- A garage in west Kaysville sustained substantial damage after a pickup truck driven by a teenage girl crashed into it Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened at 1:50 p.m. at 12 E. Shepard Lane, Kaysville, Police Capt. Brent Ward said.
The truck was going east on Shepard Lane and failed to make the curve, Ward said. It veered off to the south, hit a pile of rocks, then a tree, crossed a lawn and crashed into the side of the garage.
The driver and the passenger, both teenage girls, were unharmed.
Ward said he did not know if anyone was inside the home when the crash occurred.
The initial investigation shows that speed may have contributed to the accident. The speed limit in the area is 25 mph.
