OGDEN -- The mother of a 4-year-old girl found drunk and unresponsive in her home on April 11 has turned herself in to police.
Raquel Grilho Borce may face charges, including second-degree felony of child abuse and neglect.
Weber County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Klint Anderson said another likely charge is a third-degree felony of violation of the Utah substance abuse act.
Anderson said evidence for this charge, which is not directly related to the daughter, was discovered during investigation of the first offense.
Borce was arrested Thursday and booked into Weber County Jail after she turned herself in Wednesday.
She has since posted a $15,260 bail.
Borce turned herself in as part of a deal between her attorney and the county prosecutor, Anderson said. Borce is currently the only person being investigated in the incident and has not yet been charged.
"It didn't take us long to rule out the nurses in this case," Anderson said. "She (the girl) is fed through a feeding tube. There is no way this could have been accidental."
The girl was located by paramedics in an apartment at Townhouse Estates, 1045 S. 1200 West.
Anderson said she has recovered and is being cared for by her father.
