Marlo Dale Tullis of Ogden celebrated his 80th birthday at an open house on Saturday, June 8, at his home in the Uintah Highlands.
He was born to Floris and Victor Tullis on June 16, 1933, in South Ogden. He was raised in Riverdale with his sister Luana Stoddard. He attended Weber High School, the University of Utah and LA Art Center.
He worked as a commercial artist, for Prime contractors and retired from Defense Depot Ogden. He is a master furniture builder, wood carver and artist.
He enjoyed many big game hunts in North America with his father. He has a basement full of his hobbies. He also volunteers as a mountain man for local elementary schools.
He married Eve Winn. Their five children and spouses are Tina and Rex Poulsen, Janette and Al Strople, Marla and Rick (deceased) Mitchell, Dale and Nicole Tullis, and Chris and Stacey Tullis. They were later divorced.
He then married the love of his life, Nancy Ruth Crook, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Temple. Their two children and spouses are Marcie and Jeremy Thomas, and Stephanie and Blake Cutler. He has 28 grandchildren (soon to be 29) and eight great-grandchildren.
