OGDEN - Firefighters put out a blaze in the cafeteria at Mount Ogden Junior High today. The fire caused extensive damage, crews said.
The department said online that the damage is currently estimated at $50,000.
School is out for the summer and only a few students were in the building doing janitorial work. All got out safely, and no injuries were reported, firefighters said.
Firefighters are clearing smoke from the building, at 32nd Street and Harrison Boulevard.
The fire's cause is under investigation.
