Leisa Harris Mattson, of Ogden, passed away June 14, 2013. She was born January 19, 1954 in Logan, Utah to Frank Earl and Emma Reynolds Harris. Leisa married Kyle Logan Mattson on October 13, 1978 in the Ogden LDS Temple; he preceded her in death April 19, 2005. As an active member of the LDS Church she served in many callings, her favorite being Primary.
Leisa earned a nursing degree, a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Intermountain Healthcare as a nurse and an administrator. She lived to bring dignity, comfort, and peace to her patients.
Leisa is survived by her daughter Blaire Mattson; her son Devin Kyle Mattson; siblings, Alma F. (Gayle) Harris, Carol (Stanley) Packer, Dennis (Kay) Harris, Lynn (Jean) Harris, Sarah (Garth) Timmins, and Jodie (Jan) Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her infant son, Kyle Harris Mattson, and infant sister, Laurie Harris.
Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Pleasant View South Stake Center, 3602 No. 500 W. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Logan Cemetery.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jay Bishoff, Dr. Scott Samuelson, Julie Lee, and Kayla Knox.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund, the LDS Missionary Fund, or the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
