Crews respond to house fire in Ogden

OGDEN -- Fire crews responded to a report of a fire inside a home at 665 16th St., on Thursday.

The homeowner attempted to extinguish the fire, which was located in a bedroom, with a fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful.

After the call came in at 12:42 p.m., fire crews arrived shortly thereafter and found the home full of smoke. Fire crews suppressed the fire quickly and ventilated the home. The fire was contained to the bedroom closet.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire, according to a press release from Ogden fire department. The fire is under investigation and the cause is unknown.

Fire crews from Ogden Fire Department, Northview Fire District and Roy Fire Department responded to the fire.
