SALT LAKE CITY -- Family and friends are mourning after a Mormon missionary from Salt Lake City was electrocuted in Guatemala.
Family members say 20-year-old Siosiua Taufa was trying to patch a family's leaky roof during a rainstorm Wednesday when he came in contact with a high-voltage wire.
They say he enjoyed helping people and he was performing an act of service when he was killed.
He had served as a missionary for 18 months in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Retalheuleu Mission.
Taufa, a 2011 graduate of Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, was just six months away from returning home.
Funeral arrangements were pending.
