Jerald and Tamara Russell Hunter will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. A special family celebration will be held in their honor.

They were married on June 20, 1963, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cardston, Alberta Canada Temple.
Born at the old Dee Hospital, he was raised in the California bay area and served a full-time LDS mission to the north central states. He graduated from Weber State College and retired with more than 30 years in the banking industry. She was born in Kamas, lived in Idaho and Montana, and later retired from Hill Air Force Base.
They met in Montana, which led to keeping in touch via letters while he finished his mission and she attended Dixie College. After his mission, he came to Utah and courted her while she was at Brigham Young University.
While married, they have made homes in California, Ogden and South Ogden.
Together they enjoy traveling, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Their four children and their spouses are Garry and Tina Hunter, (Steven deceased) and Jennifer Hunter Davis, Diane Hunter, and Lisa and Chad Walton. They say their 13 grandchildren are the lights of their lives: Christina Hunter, Jessica Hunter, Zachary Hunter, Alexis Hunter, Corbin Hunter, Kylee Hunter, Kiersten Hunter, Carson Hunter, Gabrielle Walton, Lucas Walton, Zoe Walton, Jake Walton and Olivia Walton.
